Rumely Oil Pull Tractor, manufactured in 1919, purchased in 1923 by 6 Dalum Farmers. I believe the person on the left is Tom Kempling who purchased and restored the tractor, photo circa 1980
The Rumely Advance Oil Pull Model G 20/40 tractor was manufactured in 1919 and purchased in 1923 by six Dalum farmers: Peter Jacobsen, J. P. Christensen, Carl Andersen, Christ Bovbjerg, Jens Hvass and Alfred Axelsen. The ownership over the years was reduced to three: Peter Jacobsen, J. P. Christensen and Alfred Axelson who used the tractor until 1951. It was sold to Tom Kempling who restored it. The tractor was kept in the Drumheller Homestead Museum for many years, often running in the Drumheller July 1 Parade. When Tom Kempling passed away, his son, Steven Kempling, sold the tractor to Ian Willdig, a farmer who lives near Irricana.
